Kyra was so glad to finally have a weekend to herself at the hotel that her rich step-father was paying for for Valentine's Day. Then the phone rang. She thought maybe one of her girlfriends had found out which room she was staying in, but there was no one on the line. Just silence, not even some creep breathing, which at least would have been amusing, if gross. Oh well, stupid people. Then it rang again, and again, and again. Who was this idiot who kept trying to reach her? It was unnerving enough at first but when it just kept happening she started to get a little freaked out. Should she stay in and risk more silent calls or take a chance and go out? She felt almost paralyzed trying to decide. She sat there on her bed, staring at her phone. Maybe it was someone playing a trick on her. There had to be some explanation for all this.

That's when she heard a tiny sound in the bathroom, a faint creak, as though someone were shifting their weight on the floor, and what sounded like the faucet being turned on and someone washing their hands. She was frozen and it took all her strength to slowly turn her head and look back over her shoulder. This was like something out of a bad movie, she thought...It couldn't be. It was like some stranger was in the bathroom. OMG, the calls were coming from her own room!
