\"Once again, thank you for the great work you did on the \"Conflicted\" video. I am mulling over another idea that I thought I'd bounce off of you:

The video would take place over the course of about a year - going from about a couple weeks after we have become engaged through just after the honeymoon. The video would be a series of check-ins that center around your smoking experience. The general idea is that we've recently become engaged and you are super stressed out about the planning process and your friend from work had recommended you use cigarettes to take de-stress until the wedding (about a year away); over the course of that year your dependence and enjoyment from smoking increases but you during these check-ins you keep reassuring me that it's only temporary and that you're going to quit.

First check-in: You are introducing the idea that you are going to take up smoking to deal with the stress. You promise me that as soon as the craziness of wedding planning is over you will quit. Also it's not a big deal, you are only smoking like 2-3 a day, and certainly no more that 5/day.

Second check-in: It's been a few weeks and you're still in heavy planning mode. You tell me how helpful smoking has been and how you're so glad your co-worker (you can name her) introduced you to them. But reassure me that you are still going to quit - you know its bad for you so you can't keep it up. You know you can quit because even though you enjoy smoking so much you've been good and are only smoking 5-10 cigarettes a day, which is way less than her co-worker.

Third check-in: It's been about 3 months since we were engaged and you are super stressed out. The majority of planning is over but now your step-sister just got knocked up and you've been asked to help her organize a last minute wedding. It's super stressful but you've got your cigarettes. You tell me how you know you said you'd quit once the planning was over but you're still planning a wedding so it's not like you're \"done wedding planning\" so it counts. Besides you're still going to quit. You're only smoking about 15-20 cigarettes a day, almost never more than a whole pack in a day. Your co-worker smokes close to twice that, so it's not that bad. If you weren't holding back you'd be smoking constantly, so your limiting it to less than a pack a day show you that you'll be able to quit when the time comes.

Fourth check-in: It's about 4 months out from our wedding is fully planned, invitations are out and RSVPs received. It's all set. You've just picked out your wedding dress and nervous about putting on weight. So you inform me that you aren't going to be able to quit smoking until after the wedding. You can't risk putting on any weight and when your co-worker quit last month she put on like 20 pounds. You insist that you'll still quit after the wedding but until then you're going to continue smoking but especially since the stress of your sisters wedding drove your smoking up to 30-40 cigarettes a day, you can't quit now because you know you'd use food as a replacement for cigarettes and you need to be able to fit in your dress.

Fifth check-in: It's the morning after the wedding and you say that you're thinking that our honeymoon isn't the time to quit - why be so stressed out from nicotine withdrawal during a once-in-a-lifetime experience? After all, you're smoking more than 2 packs/day now so the withdrawal would be insane. Besides, you've noticed how turned on I've been by your smoking. It's our honeymoon, why take away something that enhances our sex life? You'll quit afterwards.

Sixth check-in: It's the last day of our honeymoon and you talk about how amazing it has been that we've integrated your smoking in our sex lives and how I can't keep my hands off of you. And since we want to have right away, you think you should keep smoking until you get pregnant because I'm clearly more aroused when I see you smoke and that will help in the baby making process. You reassure me though, that even though during the honey moon you were smoking 2.5-3 packs a day, that was just for the honeymoon, you'll cut back...

This is just a rough outline, I'm really not married to any of the content. I'm looking to highlight the progression of the volume of smoking and how in each time period you think that you're not going to smoke any more than you are at that point, but at the next check-in you're always smoking more.

My thought is that given how there is supposed to be time progression that we could pull this off via different outfits. To avoid you having to change and shoot, change and shoot, it may make sense to have you do a \"check-in\" after you have shot other videos. I recognize that it may take a while before you have shot all these scenes through that method but I thought it would reduce the degree of effort needed on your part.

Finally, I don't know your experience with smoking. Whether you set out to become a regular smoker or you thought you'd just smoke occasionally and found yourself smoking regularly. But if you have any memories of how you felt as you built up your habit, incorporating them would be great - authenticity (even in a custom) makes for better content.\"
