\"Hi honey, how was your day at school?\" Step-Mom asked with a big, beautiful smile on her face. She was already in the kitchen waiting for you to get home. \"I know it's late, you must have had a very long practice-practice today,\" she continued to say with a quick, but barely noticeable stutter. \"You must be starving. I bet you worked up a big, nice app-app-app-app-appetite.\"

Step-Mom was clearly acting weird - you had never seen her behave this way, and with such a terrible stutter. The fact that she wasn't responding to it herself seemed worrisome, but you tried to look past it, afraid to say something as it might come off as rude.

\"Would you like Step-Mommy to make something for you?\" she asked sweetly, and then opened the cabinet to take out a ceramic plate. At least that was normal - Step-Mom was always good for a ham and cheese sandwich, your favorite soda, and a warm welcome.

But things seemed to be getting worse. The more she talked, the more she stuttered and repeated phrases like it was normal. Step-Mom offered you a soda, but as you reached for it, pulled it back. \"Here sweetie, take a soda, here sweetie, take a soda,\" she repeated. When she didn't comprehend why you weren't taking the soda, she walked to the cabinet, pulled out a glass, assuming you'd prefer it in a cup, and began pouring it in, the can high up in the air and splashing into the glass.

This is when things got nuts. As she went to give you the cup, she jerked back quickly, and the soda went all over her hand. Sparks and smoke shot up from her hand and arm as if circuits were frying from the spill. You had no idea, but Step-Mom was a robot, and now it was starting to show. The repeated phrases, the abnormal behavior...that was from her low battery, but the spill began to cause her to really malfunction and glitch.

Her movements became more jagged, her stutter got worse, and her head shifted violently from side to side. Step-Mom's sophisticated, complex human personality had now turned into a more basic, robotic one. Once she realized she had gotten herself wet, she removed her wet shirt and bra, and jaggedly shifted towards the food. She attempted to make you your sandwich, but with her movements so out of control, she began to slam and throw the sandwich without control. Once she finished, she held it out for you, a big smile on her face, and then offered to cut it in half, but ripped it with her bare hands.

Step-Mom moved the food back and forth, just out of reach, and when you couldn't take it, tried to figure out why you didn't want it. She offered to cut the crust, but once again, ripped it off with her hands. To make things worse, she stepped in the soda pop spill and begin sparking and smoking again. She continued to try and offer you food, but her body was glitching from the short circuits, that you couldn't get to it.

Eventually, those fried circuits lead to other things sparking, popping, and smoking in her body, and she began to slow down. \"Circuits-circuits-curcuits are frying. Circuits are frying, power-power-powering down. Low battery-low battery-low battery, Step-Mommy just wanted to make a sandwich...for...you...powering...down,\" she said with wide, blank eyes, her speech much slower, and her body bent down at the waist. She shut down and a puff of smoke rose from her back.
