Quick Synopsis :

An optimistically upbeat spandex-wearing superheroine from the 80's, Kinetix, is asked to bring in a rampaging robot whose main circuit-board is malfunctioning due to human error. The robot is programmed to crush almost anything that crosses it's path, and there is a real threat to human life. Kinetix tries to stop it the first time and is literally crushed by it's arms into defeat. After slowly recovering, Kinetix goads it into a second fight and tricks the berserk robot into exceeding it's design protocols, causing an automatic reset of it's central processor. The video ends with a badly-hurt Kinetix laying on the floor wondering if she'll ever walk again.

Story :

Kinetix is a sexy superheroine who was accidentally frozen in cryogenic suspension in the mid-1980's and then subsequently thawed out in the year 2018. Adjusting to a three-decade cultural shock from being placed in suspended animation, her attitude is shaped by the high-energy enthusiasm and cluelessly naive' optimism of the early 1980's, a time in American history when everything in the world seemed much simpler. Kinetix believes in the American Dream, and she's shaped by such films as FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH, VALLEY GIRL, and TRON. Her music choices are shaped by the top-10 hits of the 1980's such as the GO-GO's, PAT BENATAR, and CULTURE CLUB.

As our scene opens, Kinetix is blissfully ignoring General Armbuster at the Pentagon, instead listening to Billy Joel's \"Uptown Girl\" on her earbuds (which she has carefully hidden under the massive gold-spangled headband she wears) - The general is explaining that a field test demonstration of the \"CR.SH-100\" in a nearby ghetto has caused the robot to go violently berserk when someone splashed some Colt-45 on the control pad used to manipulate the powerful robot. The all-silver robot, going berserk from the power surge, has accidentally burned out it's 'ethical' programming sub-routine, now becoming a mindless automaton of destruction and chaos.

General Armbuster wants Kinetix to bring the crushing-robot in before any human lives are lost, and as Kinetix agrees the robot suddenly veers towards their direction at top speed, smashing through the apartment wall with ease and attacking! Kinetix tries to hold it off as best she can, but she is physically dominated by the silver steel behemoth and shaken like a rag doll in the process. What the robot does not understand is that Kinetix has a \"kinetic absorption belt\" that turns physical impacts into added energy for her sexy blue spandex battlesuit! The more that the evil robot crushes her, the stronger that Kinetix becomes as she turns all that crushing power into combat energy!

Unfortunately, Kinetix makes one mistake and forgets that her belt was set for 'minimum power' that day, so the crushing power of the robot deals more damage out than her capacitors can adequately process. She gets a power boost, but she also takes damage in the process and soon loses the fight, crumpling to the ground in an 'energized-yet-bruised' pile of failure at the robot's cybernetic feet! The robot scans her life signs with it's onboard sensor relays and notes that all of her internal organs seem to be damaged but not to a terminal point. The robot further determines that although lethal pressure was applied by it's servo-motors, the kinetic belt is the reason why Kinetix wasn't terminated. The robot, following it's logic protocols, tears away Kinetix's golden belt from around her slender waistline and savagely tosses it away, leaving Kinetix powerless as well as defeated! The robot, on the verge of permanently 'deleting' it's opponent, suddenly scans a group of nearby 'fleshlings' at a nearby school, and per it's broken programming goes to eliminate all of them, breaking through another wall in the process of departing.

Kinetix, moaning and groaning on the floor, crawls over to her power belt and (wincing with pain from her defeat) manages to connect it over her blue spandex battlesuit, energizing her with power once more! Knowing that the robot is far more powerful than she is even at her peak strength levels, Kinetix activates her belt for maximum kinetic energy absorption levels this time, and taunts the robot from afar, knowing it will immediately scan her as the most dangerous threat.

Knowing she'll never survive a second encounter unless she outsmarts the robot, Kinetix remembers something General Armbuster said about if the robot applies more than 25,000 pounds of crushing (it's maximum), it's programming will automatically trigger a complete 'self-preservation' shutdown of it's autonomic systems in order to keep the robot from (literally) accidentally tearing itself apart. In the second fight against the robot, Kinetix purposely lets herself get bearhugged a second time and lasts just long enough to the robot to evaluate that it's crushing arms lack sufficient power to terminate Kinetix.

Disengaging it's hydraulic protocols, the robot applies increasing pressure beyond the 25,000-lb limit, getting all the way up to 30,000 pounds before the automatic 'self-preservation' initiative auto-activates, shutting off all power and putting the robot into 'rest' mode until a human can service and repair it. The battle is won! Unfortunately, the 30,000+ pounds of pressure also leaves Kinetix paralyzed on the ground, unable to move because she's been possibly damaged beyond repair.
