Renee and her stepbrother are alone at their parents’ house. Neither of them lives there any longer. but Gary is house sitting while his parents are in Las Vegas. Renee finds Gary in the downstairs TV room reading a magazine. Last week was Gary's birthday and Renee did not get him a gift or even call. So she starts to apologize.
