I turned the dryer and removed the back. Now I remove the screws from the heating unit and take it out. No worries, I unplugged the dryer from the electricity.

I get the part out and oh yes, I see why it's shorted. The heating unit was full of dust. I should have cleaned it earlier, then the dryer would still work.

To show you how cleaning this part would look, I roll up my skirt, shove my lace panty to the side and release a power stream onto the heating unit. The dust comes off and I cleaned it pretty good. My stream was strong and long, almost 30 seconds.

The unit has blown. Wires are totally burned through. I analyze the situation. I think I can repair the unit, now that it's clean. But we'll do that in the next episode of "Sinna fixing large equipment" :D
