However, this is an advanced hold which requires a lot of practice to perfect it. Fortunately, there were some superb slow-motion tutorials online which each wrestler was told to study beforehand. But of course, watching a tutorial doesn't make you an instant expert, which made this video so much fun to make.

When applied correctly, the figure-4 leg lock submission hold can be used either to control your opponent (any attempt to escape can be stopped by a slight increase in pressure, causing extreme pain to the knee) and of course in a match situation it can be used as a formal submission hold resulting in almost instant tap-out.

Blaze seems to have learnt it quite well, but so does Ivy and let's not forget that Ivy holds a blue-belt in BJJ. Will Ivy's formal BJJ training help her to master it quickly when she puts it into practice against Blaze? Remember that Ivy is not allowed to use any of her other repertoire of BJJ submission holds - it's Figure-4 leg locks only.

As the match progresses, Ivy delights in her ability to inflict pain on Blaze, and decides that she won't release the hold even when Blaze taps. Instead she just releases the pressure slightly, before applying pressure again to a further tap out.

This is a great demonstration of the effectiveness of this advanced submission hold. Just beware of meeting these two wrestlers in the future - you really don't want them doing this to you. Or maybe you do...
