Step-mom isn't happy.

You (POV) came home with the worst report card EVER. ALL Fs!!!

That's not going to fly in this house. She tells you just how disappointed she is and that something needs to be done quickly, because she refuses to have a failure for a step-son. You need to be able to look after yourself one day when she's no longer around and if you carry on like this, you'll soon be on the street and she won't have any of that.
