In the dimly lit barracks, a young cadet found himself facing the stern corporal's judgment. With a heavy sigh, the corporal contemplated the cadet's transgressions. After a solemn pause, he selected three methods of punishment: the first, face slapping with leather gloves; the second, a more humiliating spanking; and the third, the ultimate indignity - inviting the cadet to kneel and perform the degrading act of boot-worship. The cadet's fate hung in the balance, as the shadows of discipline closed in around him.
