Zuzu's cast foot is still tender so she uses crutches even though she has a heel on her cast to walk on it. You can see her discomfort as she crutches down the stairs to her car when she stops in mid-crutch to wave her casted leg around and wiggle her toes. That doesn't stop her from driving though and she uses her half-naked cast foot to drive and pump the pedal using her toes to apply pressure -- even though she can't really feel the pedal with the rest of her casted foot and rubber heel.
