Today Jeannette decides to go for a walk to the river. Her red rubber boots seem like a fitting companion for such an adventure.
The river bank she chose turns out to be unpredictable, hidden under a layer of moving water and sticky silt. Every step Jeannette takes is a test: her boots either fall in or get stuck in the bottomless depths.
At some point, her leg sinks deeper than ever before, and attempts to escape are futile. Fear grips her heart. However, Jeannette does not give up. Again and again, she struggles, trying to free her legs from the chilling grip of the silt's embrace...

At some point, her leg sinks deeper than ever before, and attempts to escape are futile. Fear grips her heart. However, Jeannette does not give up. Again and again, she struggles, trying to free her legs from the chilling grip of the silt's embrace. Jeannette tries to break free, but her efforts are in vain! No one is around in the forest, and there is nowhere to wait for help. She manages to pull her foot out of one boot, and then out of the other, but the boots remain sticking out of the water. Upset and sad, in wet and dirty (once white) socks, she walks home on the ground and grass, getting her foot and sock even dirtier.
