I got some amazing footage of my old cast being cut off in the cast clinic of a hospital. You can see me from the knees down as the nurse uses a saw to cut through the sides of my thick plaster cast, then uses safety scissors to cut through the cotton batting and cotton sock. She removes it and my broken leg is a little slimmer and less flexible. There is some pain around the ankle too. Then she puts on a new cotton sock and lots of padding, wrapping it around my thick calf. We talk in French a little about the process as it is happening.
