Because of this Alexis's belly button will constantly be exposed. Every two stretches Alexis will notice her belly button is being exposed by the stretching, so she will pull the shirt down. Alexis can tell after a little bit of time that her belly button exposure makes Randy uncomfortable, so Alexis will say things to him like: "Sorry my belly button is showing Randy" , "You shouldn't have to see step mommy's belly button, but the shirt is a snug fit for step mommy so whenever I stretch for something you can see my belly button".
