TITLE: The Ring
DESCRIPTION: Becca stops by a shop on her way home from the Gym that she's never seen before. Thinking that the shop is a Step-Mom and Pop style Asian store full of herbal teas and different unusual forms of muscle relaxation she goes inside. She realizes that while there are herbs and spices she's never seen before, the main part of the shop seems to be for old antiques of all shapes of sizes. Sitting inside a very beautiful ornate looking box is a Ring. It looks almost like gold but seems to shine like silver. Just as she goes to pick it up the old caretaker slams the box closed and moves it away from Becca. Startled Becca looks up at the old woman behind the counter who quickly tells her "Not For Sale!" Becca tilts her head and asks what kind of ring it is. The caretaker says "It's a 'Wishing Ring'. Won't work for you because you're only interested in material things!" Becca chokes back the urge to tell her off as if something so stupid would be true. Another customer interupts and the caretaker brings the customer into the back room with her. Becca opens the door to her home and comes inside. She's talking on her cell phone and wearing gym clothing. If it could grant wishes then why didn't that old lady wish for a better shop or alot of money or something?" The Ring does look like gold with a silver like shine to it. There's no engravings or marks on the ring at all, and for all intents and purposes, appears to be just a smooth band of gold, a mostly basic and unassuming little ring. Becca smiles and tries to put it on and surprisingly, it fits perfectly on her ring finger. She smiles and says "Huh, usually you have to size rings like this or they don't fit so well. Oh well, I guess I'm just the right size. If the ring fits, wear it! It does feel nice and it looks nice too, for not having any diamonds or anything on it. Plain ring, but still, I bet it goes with a lot of outfits and other jewelry." Becca admires the ring for a few moments and then remembers that the old caretaker had called it a "Wishing Ring". Becca smiles and says "Wishing Ring huh? Okay why not? I wish a million dollars would appear in the bathtub!" Nothing happens as Becca stares at the bathtub for a few moments. She says "Imagine that, no money. Maybe I should wish for something a bit less than a million bucks? Okay, I wish that awesome black dress I saw at Jovani's the other day would appear right here on the counter!" Becca again watches for the dress to materialize for a few seconds but nothing happens.
