As the story continues, Melody Marks is unexpectedly rescued from The Baron by a strange masked figure. He takes the gorgeous blonde to a remote compound in the desert, where she's next seen dressed up in a French maid outfit and being bound by her mysterious host. She asks who he is, and he informs her he's a former superhero, previously known as "The Enigma."
