If i give something to you, you will always say “Thank you Ma’am”
Otherwise you will only talk if you are talked to.
If you need to talk, you I will approach say “excuse me, Ma’am” and wait until I address you. I will allow this once a day and make sure it is important.
Disobedience, laziness, untidiness or any other kind of failure will earn you demerit points. Demerit points will amount to punishment.
If you are well behaved, respectful and diligent, you can earn merits as well.
“Let’s give this a try, shall we? I’m giving you 20 demerits, to get you started.”
“I gave you something, that means you are supposed to say: thank you Ma'am. That will be 10 more demerits for not thanking me right and another 10 for hesitating. Do you need more or will you answer properly this time?”
“Good boy. You get one merit for effort. Do you see how this works? Answer, NOW!”
On to the general house rules:
When I enter a room you will stand up and you will remain standing until i allow you to sit down.
You are not allowed to lock any door in this house. I want to be able to walk in on you at any time, even in the bathroom.
Your room needs to be clean and tidy at all times. Expect daily unannounced inspections, with demerits for any kind of dirt or mess. A week of flawless inspections will earn you one merit.
You must always look neat yourself as well.
Your finger- and toenails must be clipped and buffed.
You will shower every day and inspect your body for unwanted hair. I do not allow any visible hair in your armpit, groin, ears or nose. If i find any during inspections, i will pull them one by one with a tweezer.
I will decide your haircuts and the way you wear it.
You must keep your clothes clean all the time.
For ease of inspections you will only be allowed to wear white inside the house.
Since you don’t have enough white clothes and to save money, I will provide some unisex items for you that i don’t need any more.
In your closet you will find several pairs of these.
White ballet tights, ballet slippers and my old choir blouses.
Don’t look like that! When I say these ruffles and peter pan collars are unisex then that’s that!
You will wear this around the house at all times and keep them pristine or you will earn demerits!
School:
To school you will wear button up shirts and khaki pants and white canvas slippers.
Every day after school you will come home directly and report to me for inspection. Keeping your clothes flawlessly clean every day for a week will earn you one merit.
After inspection you will go to your room, change and do your homework in silence. No music, no TV, no internet, no talking.
All homework will be done on paper in neat handwriting.
When you are done you will submit it to me for review.
Errors, sloppy writing or smudges will earn you demerits and you will have to do it over until I am satisfied.
Flawless homework will earn you one merit only if you get it right the first time.
Meals:
I will shop for groceries and cook our meals. I will provide you with a healthy and nutritious diet.
Your part is setting the table and serving the food.
I will supervise portion control I will put the food on your plate and you will eat it without question. I will decide when you have enough. You will thank me after every meal, then you will be doing all the dishes, including pots and pans i used for cooking, wipe the table and all countertops and take out the trash.
For the cleaning chores after dinner you will put on this cute ruffled pinafore apron. You will keep it on for doing all your other chores around the house. It will help you to protect your nice clothes from dirt. Isn’t that nice of me?
Chores:
With homework and dinner out of the way, it is time to begin your daily chores.
I will give you a choice. We will split the house into inside and outside chores. Would you rather take care of the lawn, the pool and everything else that on the outside where everyone can see you like this, or stay inside and take care of things here?
I thought so. I will be upon me then to make sure the gardener and pool boy keep everything tidy.
You will do laundry every other day in turn with ironing and folding all the clothes you washed the day before.
In addition you will clean a different room in the house top to bottom every day according to a schedule i will provide.
Once a month you will perform a deep cleaning of the kitchen, the bathroom and my bedroom. That means you will scrub the floors and all surfaces, empty out all cabinets, cupboards and closets, clean them out thoroughly and replace every single item as it was.
This should take you about a day and therefore deep cleans will be scheduled on saturdays. Of course they will be followed by a detailed inspection.
Keeping your own room clean and tidy is your responsibility on top of all other chores.
Also, every pair of shoes I have worn on that day need to be polished and placed back into my shoe cabinet before the end of the day.
Bedtime:
Every day at 8:00pm you will report to me about all your chores on that day. I will decide about demerits or maybe even a merit for effort and you will be allowed to take off your pinafore.
Then you will spend the next 30 minutes exercising under my tutelage. I have been a ballet instructor for many years, so you know to expect demanding and elegant workout.
When you are done you will take a shower and get ready for bed.
You will be in bed by 9:00pm every day. Lights out and complete silence.
