In the year 1989, shortly before the reunification between East- and West-Germany, I invited Gabi Butze to Hamburg to film her with Monika in the gym Powerhouse in St. Pauli while a common workout. In the former GDR a bodybuilder was not a sportswoman but an artist. That was the reason that I could engage her for this film production. Sportswomen were not allowed to take part in a West-German film production in those days. It was one of my first videos and is a document of this time.
