With each grape XI swallows, another is chewed and regurgitated for his nourishment and Princess' amusement. She chews the grape into tiny pieces, swirls it around in her mouth with all its natural juices and of course adds some of her own spit, to make a delicious grape to spit into his waiting mouth.

If he fails to catch even the smallest morsel, he knows he too will suffer a swift punishment. It amuses Princess Xi that he cranes his neck and struggles to catch every spittle of grapes and juice as they cascade down from her mouth.
