In unscrupulous hands, its corruptive influence can lay waste to fertile ground, sunder flesh from bone, and unearth unspeakable horrors at the bearer's bidding. (by design, of course) It's easy enough to break free of her iron bonds, abscond with the staff and elude her captors. At least, that's what she schemed. Unfortunately, the fetching freebooter's best laid plans are waylaid by the relic's otherworldly, cadaverous guardians - skeletal serpents that snake and slither about her with bone-crushing malice and finality!
