The psychological torment is every bit as bad as the physical torment Candle is being put through and as she hangs in a viscious bound position she wonders why this is happening to her! She has been taken prisoner by an obvious wack job who insists on "cleaning" her both inside and out and now that she has been humiliatingly washed on the outside she is terrified at what he means by "inside".
