When he sees Wonder Woman summon sufficient power to pull one of the stakes free, he uses his mind control again. He decides it would be safer to keep this woman is a confined space, and soon she is tied to a chair, her strength still gone. The Red Cloak tauts her as she struggles in futility, finally gagged her to shut her up. He departs and leaves his captive to struggle, knowing that she will not be able to free herself this time.
