Lance Corporal Larchmont is summoned to the punishment cell for being disrespectful to the female officers and neglecting his duties and is sentenced to an immediate corporal sentence, the heavy strop across the bare. Instead of learning his lesson, he continues to be disruptive over the following week and is again taken to the cells. This time his punishment is more extreme, the judicial birch followed by the stinging dragon cane, expertly administered by Officer Woods.
