One of my students Roxanne has been struggling in my class. Of course Roxanne spends so much time out partying that she rarely shows up for class. Roxanne comes to see me looking for an easy way out, asking if there was any extra credit she could do. I don't have much sympathy for Roxanne and tell her there is really nothing I can have her do to earn extra credit. But Roxanne is persistant, and says the magic words.
