Aether happened to piss of the wrong set of mobsters and now she finds herself tied and gagged on the top floor or a row-house in the seedy part of the city. She's been stripped naked as well, so she is completely helpless, and completely vulnerable.

Apparently the mob didn't want Aether to stick around for long, so they've not only left her bound and gagged, but they've abandoned her.
