She was hanging around with one of the Krewes in New Orleans that were part of the celebrations, but now finds herself as a bound, gagged and naked "sacrifice" of the Krewe.

Well midnight came and went, and with it so did Elayne's captivity. She was given a sum of money, or what the Krewe called "The Real Demon". What a strange thing this holiday was. Elayne then had to figure out how to get back down to New Orleans next year for this.
