She needs to figure out a way out of the ropes, but she's unable to do much in the way of struggling since between her pretty bare feet is a burning candle, which is part of a very cruel predicament.

Before putting the candle between her feet and lighting it, Rachel's feet had been coated with a mix of baby oil (somewhat flammable) and rubbing alcohol (extremely flammable). She now has to make sure that she hangs on to that candle, as having it slip, even just a bit, will set her feet on fire! Of course, the candle will not burn forever, and eventually the flame will make its way down to Rachel's feet, but by then, she hopes, the alcohol will have evaporated and the oil will have dried up some. But she could still see the bottles of alcohol and oil and could also see they were far from empty...
