She screamed and pleaded into the duct tape that sealed up her mouth, but her cries for mercy went unheeded.

She was soon tied down underneath the blade and again she begged for mercy, this time with even more fervor, but the only response was that the blade was started and began to swing over her.

Slowly, deliberately, the blade swung, lowering not more than a hair...

Slowly, deliberately, the blade swung, lowering not more than a hairsbreadth with each swing. Whereas the descent seemed quite slow to anyone in the room, to Tomiko, it was quite rapid, and every swing brought her closer and closer to the agony that would be hers if the blade began cutting.

Was this to be the end of Tomiko, or would there be mercy for the lovely lady?
