Veronica thought that since she was bound up only with tape she could escape without too much difficulty. As it turns out, she learns instead that this tie is almost inescapable, and that she is going to be taped to the chair until someone rescues her, or reties her in some other way. This doesn't cause her to stop struggling by any means, and she continues to work to escape her predicament...
