As Khristall told me stories of playing cops and robbers as a she took special pride in always escaping. Offering her a chance to see if she still could do it there was no hesitation. I'm sure she was planning on another easy escape where all the knots were in reach. When the final knots cinched in place, well out of reach, I could tell some of that confident spark was gone.
