You come over to Vivian's house to help her out because she's having some car trouble with her old junker. She's sitting on the steps as you walk up and says to you, "It won't start." She has that poor pitiful look on her as she explains to you what she was doing to try and get the car started. She demonstrates how she was pumping the pedal, holding it down and begging the car to start for her.
