A strange chap (presumably Malcolm) in a mask answers the door and invites her in. Emma is uneasy as this guy seems pretty weird (probably mainly the need for the mask), but he may just be a little nervous, as she is sure he has never seen a woman like her in this remote place. It’s quite exciting for him actually. Sure he can give her some sugar...mmmmmmm. As soon as Emma’s back is turned, the guy pounces! Emma is handgagged and wrestled into submission! Next, we have Emma tied up all nice and tight on a couch in an adjacent room. Emma can’t believe this is happening! She just wanted to borrow a cup of effing sugar!

Immediately, Malcolm returns to the room, ranting about how he cannot allow her to divulge the town’s secret! What secret?! Emma has no idea what the fudge this lunatic is going on about! Soon thereafter, Malcolm returns to the room, informing Emma that there is no way the village will ever pay the two sacks of grain, a keg of and the suckling pig that they have owed to the Crown since 1832! An accounting error we guess? A long time? Yes. Emma mmmmmpphhhs in disbelief, these people are completely nuts! She is then carried off, kicking and twisting, over his shoulder, to be stashed upstairs in a back room. Malcolm pulling the tight cloth from Emma’s mouth informs her that soon, she may, instead of wearing canvas pumps, will be wearing concrete pumps! Prior to heading off to make preparations Malcolm decides he needs to keep Emma nice and quiet. A thick black bandana is abruptly yanked good and tight between Emma’s teeth and knotted tight behind her head! Emma fights hard against the tight ropes knowing she must get free. In a bizarre twist, Malcolm has also found that his missing Aardvark, Nathan, is well, missing. Could there be a connection with the struggling girl upstairs? Maybe so. He’ll grill her on it later.
