Constance has an upcoming audition in which she has to play a bound and gagged captive. She’s never been tied up so she asks a friend over to help her with the experience in order to allow her to capture a feeling of helplessness for the scene. Like the script says, he ties her hands in front of her and ties a thin cloth between her teeth. She doesn’t feel helpless at all and can talk pretty clearly through the gag so she and her friend decide to do a little research and try again with something a little more effective.
