When Beatrice complains her regular cast shoe is bothering her around her toes, her doctor exchanges it for a funky half cast shoe to gimp around with. Now she has to go to work on one heel with half her damn foot blasting out of her cast and the shoe! It's funny looking, she can feel every dirty surface under foot and she's constantly wiggling her naked toes because she feels things between them. She wishes she had her regular cast boot back!
