She knows it's going to be very difficult -- particularly on two different crutches (one to accommodate her broken arm) and only one leg that she can wear a shoe on while her other foot will have to remain bare and shoe less with her leg stiff and straight in a CLC. She decides it would be a good idea to try on different footwear and crutch around in them to see which one will be best for work. She does this all in her underwear because its too difficult to dress, and even getting around in a room she is worried about working up a sweat in clothes before even going out. Just getting her broken arm onto the special crutch she will be using that allows it to rest on it is a struggle. She tries out three different types of shoes, a sock and legging to decide what she will wear. As She puts on each shoe, she crutches around the room to determine which is most comfortable and finally decides that between the flat, the heeled boot and the lower heeled maryjane she has tried on and crutched around, the maryjane is the best in terms of balancing comfort and style.
