In part one a poorly wife phones her husband at work complaining about her home nurse who is fiddling about downstairs not helping her in her sick bed. Her busy husband comes home in an angry mood and finds the expensive private nursed searching through his private drawers. He is furious and an argument peruses, which the wife can hear upstairs. All the noise brings her down and between the two of them they decide the only course of action is to punish the severely.
