Then there is the Bugsy Siegel or Italian beef sandwich. Candy had a hard time giving a flavor profile for the kinish, but she has even less to say about the sandwich. There was a German sausage with sauerkraut that this place called the 'dutch schultz' for whatever reason. That was Candy's absolute favorite. She had 2 of those, and she was glad about it, because she loved the natural casing sausage and the way the sauerkraut complimented the excellent flavor of the sausage. The chili cheese fries were called 'mobster fries' and Candy didn't find the chili very appetizing, so that kind of messed with her palate on this one. She did manage to finish off at least half of them though when I review the video! The cyclone, or a Coney Island wiener with chili and cheese had that chili on there, so that was at least halfway eaten but wasn't a favorite. The Chicago style wiener was called the Capone, and that one was at least colorful, bright, the presentation was great, and it also had a "bright flavor" according to Candy. Also in a natural casing, it was "spot on" according to Candy, and she wishes she would have gotten a few of those as well. So, this wiener feast was kind of "hit and miss" in the way of tastes and names, and while some people probably love the chili, it wasn't Candy's cup of tea. If they went heavy on the cilantro that would be a very good reason, because Candy is one of those few people who detects a "soapy" flavor from the cilantro herb, which seems to ruin just about every attempt at Mexican food...
