The mayoress is proving tougher than the town clerk had anticipated; defiance was still in the air. Bent over the back of a chair, her bottom high in the air, the perfect target for the cane, two nice whippy canes come out of the suitcase. First into action is the traditional school cane. Afterwards the red cane comes into use, repeatedly issuing its distinctive whistle as it heads down to the mayoress's naked bottom.
