This clip compares the treatment of two badly behaved sixth formers some fifty years apart. In the first part, Sandy plays a sixth former caught cheating at a posh school in the 1930s. The headmaster does not hesitate to thrash her soundly and even makes her drop her knickers to ensure the cane is doing its work. At the same college half a century later, the mind games are as important as the thrashing. She is made to think about her transgression for an hour before her punishment.
