Rachel had found herself stuck in a run of bad luck and no clear way out. That's when a benefactor stepped in and offered her help. Rachel would get a fresh start, but only if she completed a simple task in return. All she needed to do was download a copy of some "unimportant" files from a server at her workplace and give them to the benefactor. After getting the files she was supposed to meet an associate of the benefactor at a private location to give them the disk. While she was sure it wasn't quite on the up-and-up, it seemed simple enough and she was desperate.

Things seemed to go wrong for her right from the start. It was as if the security at work had been heightened ten-fold and all of it was focused on her activities. Still, she went on with her task, transferred the files to the disk and got out of there as soon as she could. No one stopped her, but Rachel could not shake the feeling that they knew what she had done.

She made it to the hotel and contacted the benefactor, hoping to make the exchange quickly. In the mean time she had the bright idea to hide the disk for safekeeping. She searched the room for an ideal spot but every place seemed almost too obvious. Eventually she found a suitable place. Sure that no one would look there she finally allowed herself to relax. Nothing had actually gone wrong, and all she needed to do was wait for her contact to show up.

Sadly, hiding the disk was the last thing that went her way. A little later someone did arrive at the location, but it wasn't her contact. It was a man sent by a rival who also wanted the information on that disk. He was supposed to get it just as she had, but after Rachel had transferred the files it did trigger a security measure and access was locked out. His only means of getting that information was to take the disk from her.

He tracked Rachel down and quickly overpowered her. She soon found herself tightly bound with the man demanding to know where the disk was. All she could think to do was deny even knowing about a disk and hope that her contact would arrive soon. Surely they would rescue her. And they were coming. Right...?
