During her struggles she realized that her phone had been left on a nearby table. While still far out of reach she could at least read it, including the text notifications from her handler demanding to know why she had not responded. They were not at all pleased with the silence and reminded her that if she double-crossed them there would be consequences.

This sent Rachel into a fury of struggling. Her situation was growing worse. The people she had stolen from were holding her captive, and the ones she was working for were turning against her. Things were not looking good for Rachel...
