Christa is in an intense struggle to get her car started, it just turns over & turns over with no hint of starting. She pumps & begs the car to start as it spits, sputters & stutters...She continues to pump & pump but seems to either have pumped some bad gas into the car, or the carburetor is going out. She cranks until she drains the battery still pumping with high urgency. After what seemed to be an eternity of cranking, she takes her shoe off towards the end & gives the old Buick a good revving.
