It is time for the real punishment for Mila, as Miss Roxy ties her ankles together and to the frame of the bed so that the soles of her feet are fully exposed for the bastinado. Mila has been instructed to keep her feet still and take the punishment without delay. She will receive 50 strokes of the bastinado rapidly and she will have to bear the pain.

By the end of the 50 strokes, Mila is nearly in tears.

The full bastinado section takes about 7 minutes, and once Miss Roxy finishes, she digs her nails into Mila's sore feet.
