When the nurse begins cleaning up the excess plaster residue on her exposed skin around her privates and on her feet she almost can't take it and writhes around as she cries out. When the ordeal is finally over her overhead traction bar is adjusted and she is taught how to use it and adjust her position with the limited mobility she has left. They discuss Brandy's immobile immediate future and the nurse tries to calm her down. When she leaves Brandy tries to move herself and realizes how difficult it is to do in this cast. She starts feeling the pain and almost cries thinking about and feeling how bad her situation really is.
