Her friend offers to take her out of a beautiful day in the park to take her mind off her foot troubles, but she seems to be insensitive to Chloe's condition. And then there are the endless stares of passersby. They stare at her cut off jeans leg she must have to accommodate the cast and allow her to get her leg through while protecting her poor sensitive toe. They stare at the cast, at her plastered big toe and at her four other exposed toes peeking out of the cast. She complains bitterly until finally her friend gives the exposed part of her sole and toes and soothing massage - just to shut her up!
