Poor Sentina is already miserable with her full leg encased in plaster and angled so that she can't even put her leg down straight, and needs crutches to do -- everything -- not to mention her poor cold little toes are sticking out of the front of it and she has to go to school like this with all the guys looking at them! Then there is her selfish BFF who doesn't seem to even care she is struggling around in her cast and crutches. As they walk home she is constantly pushing Sentina to hurry up, or dancing around her showing what she can do with her two good legs -- or staring at her Sentina's shoe-less naked toes. She even pulls Sentina's cast leg from behind her as "a joke" while she tries to struggle along on her sticks. When Sentina stops to massage her poor aching toes and clean them off her friend sprinkles flower pedals on her exposed foot! When they stop at the swings her friend takes her crutches away and makes Sentina hop across to pick them up off the floor. Finally it's too much and Sentina just has to sit and rest her crooked leg. When they finally get to her walk-up does her friend help? No she just stands there and watches the poor girl as she figures out how she will get up the stairs on only one good leg.
