She needs to protect her poor casted toes, and exposed heel, but with what? Her friend has a solution. They will use sheer hose to put over her toes so as not to irritate her splinted toe. This will provide some basic protection and also kind of hide her splited toe at work, which makes her feel a bit better. But how to get them on over her cast without hurting her tender foot? Her friend first cuts off the foot part of the hose of her casted leg. That allows Sentina to put hose on her good leg and over her cast without irritating her foot. Then her friend gingerly puts the cut foot part of the hose over her casted foot and uses tape to connect the cut hose foot part to the leg part where it was cut. It's a little odd looking and there is a question of if it will hold, and how Sentina will deal with it if it doesn't, because its difficult to reach her casted foot pointed down and away from her. It will have to do though, and she prepares to leave -- and the next challenge -- struggling down her walk-up apartment from a high floor. Fortunately her roommate is their to help her again as she struggles down the stairs. However, even outside their are still stairs to now climb up to get to the street!
