Scene One: Testing the Gear

Melanie has to get used to being in the water. The warm waves covering her body. The feeling of being completely submerged. She puts the regulator in her mouth and calmly breathes in and out.

The bubbles escape and she fights the fear of not having air. In and out she calms herself, looking though the blue haze to the other end of the pool. Can she do this? Will she be able to be strong under pressure?
