Today I opened the mail. As the house is in my name, most official documents are addressed to me. One of the letters was from the electricity company. To my horror I saw that it was a final demand for an unpaid bill. They were threatening to cut-off our electricity supply if it was not paid within seven days! I turned to Mario, my husband. I said to him “I gave you this bill two weeks ago and told you to pay it. Why was this not done?” He blustered and gave some excuses, but I informed him that this was not good enough.
