While waiting for the Madame to return from work so that he may drive Cecelia and his owner to a Christmas party at Ceceliaâ€TMs office, the carpet has been told to make himself useful by serving as a footstool/riser for Cecelia while the two patiently await the Madame who is expected at any time.
