I'm getting ready for class. Dressed in a short skirt and a sweater, sitting on my bedroom floor, I pull my thigh-high stockings on while sniffling. It seems I'm coming down with a cold, but I've got to get ready to go! I blow my nose with my white cotton handkerchief and sniff while braiding my hair into pigtails, but I just can't get relief. I blow some more, rub my nose, stick the hanky into my nostrils, and even pick my nose to help clear my airway. It's no use, my nose won't stop running...guess I'll just stay home from school today.
